Vaettir

10th September 2013

Vaettir is a project collaboration between Amy Congdon and Jenny Lee who's curious minds and materials explorations have conceived a poetic collection of products that have been designed specifically for plants, exploring and highlighting their needs and personalities.

Inspired by the Swiss Declaration of Plant Rights which gives plants rights as living entities the project playfully looks at our relationship with plants.

Exploring personality traits such as vanity, social, companionship and sensitivity they have designed a vessel and a set of tools for each plant to reflect this.

During the research of the project they collected numerous stories from people exploring their unique relationships with plants and they hope to convey these through their pieces which will be on show during London Design festival from September 14th to the 21st September at Wildaboutflowers, 87 Clerkenwell Road.

In addition each of the plants has their own twitter accounts so you can follow their experiences of being on display during design week.
