Teaming Up

9th February 2014

The third in a series of thought provoking exhibitions from Transnatural started last week in Amsterdam.

Titled 'Teaming Up', it explores new forms of collaboration between nature, humans, animals and machines as well as exploring our perception of time and the bigger subject of symbiosis - both subjects that are particularly of interest to me right now.

The exhibition is a curated selection of thought provoking projects such as the Roots project from EDHV which I first saw at the Dutch Invertuals during Dutch Design week as well as the work of Suzanne van Beest who designs from the wonder of nature.

Exploring time and the difference between experiencing biological time vs daily time Studio 1:1's clock suggests to explore biological time where actual 'technical time' is irrelevant whilst 'Time' by Eveline Visser brings birds who live by biological time into the hospital environment in order to visualise biological time, and in turn, create a symbiosis between man and nature.

The exhibition runs till the 5th June at Workspace, Lijnbaansgracht 148a Amsterdam.

I use this blog as a notebook of inspirations – I post things I see and like and thoughts of mine. I don't revolve around a singular topic and neither does this blog. Everything and anything is relevant
