Edible 'Kup'

Taking inspiration from how villagers in developing areas of China, Laos and Papua New Guinea use ingredients from nature with which to eat, create and live, Japanese designer SugiX has designed and created an edible cup.

Sustainable and bio degradable he drew on local knowledge and self sufficiency in traditional villages considering manufacturing, local resources whilst considering the throw away culture of the developed world.

Made from rice flower, the Kup is an edible yet disposable cup and is named combining 'Kuu' which is 'eat' in Japanese and 'cup' in english.
for his project smile park, japanese designer sugiX creates sustainable products based on his experiences abroad.
