A time to be inspired

20th October 2012

Having been very uninspired for a while now -- I am delighted to say that Dutch Design week has lived up to my expectations and brought back a spark of inspiration again.

Tired and weary from the exposure we are all experiencing in life I have to admit I have been struggling to be inspired - especially after the very disappointing London Design Festival (of course with the exception of a few! ).

First day of DDW and Dutch Invertuals again was awe inspiring - Wendy Plomp and team just somehow manage to keep raising the bar! (future post to follow) and the new area in Design week - Area East Sectie C was as Dutch Design week always has been - full of design collectives working away in their studio's with fantastic works scattered around the place added to by the dinner tables scattered around the studio's for those lucky enough to have booked a table.

The RCA graduates were also there and it was a perfect fit - another testament to the reign of Dutch design week on the design calendar and the draw of its design gaze.

DAE also has nurtured a clutch of brilliant designers yet again...

Area Strijp tomorrow...

Day one - over 500 pictures to trawl through so many posts to follow!
